Light dimly thru the curtains
hot coffee and oatmeal
wash my face
paddock boots
chaps over my jeans
coat on
hat
gloves
apples in pocket
kiss goodbye
out the door
mackerel clouds
blue sky
sun peaking over the Rockies
cool crisp
early
Mountain Morning
sun streaming
champagne air
jacket
hat
gloves off
getting warmer
halter on
pat on the neck
brushing
more patting
saddle on
bridle on
early morning lunging
working
walk
trot
canter
dust flying
this way
that way
forever
treasured
this morning
Fiona
first ridden
my heart bursts
gentle new beginnings
in her life
in mine
the dance has begun
apples devoured
joyful
&
grateful
it's a beautiful Montana morning.
