Yarnalong

Here is my project-
way behind schedule
for my mom on mothers day.

I was inspired by Lori and found the pattern thru her.

I am using my own hand dyed merino- which I think gives a little uniqueness.

I have never knitted a shawl so this is the first!

Joining Ginny at yarnalong today

Also a little good-bye for now.

My mom flies in from Oslo, Norway tomorrow for a month - a trip she does twice a year
to visit us here in Montucky
so I want to spend all my time with her.

May will be a super busy month-

Chef is hopefully opening Base Camp Cafe

My sweet pea "Fiona Clementine "
 is coming home

Hoping to ride her for the first time on my birthday coming up
eeeeap!

(I'll be checking my messages if you need to shoot me an email
if you have any questions about my yarn or whatever else)

~
So with that
I will see you next month
~
Love to all
peace out

A Mystery has been solved!

I use my hands all day
 spinning, dyeing, knitting
 and now horseback riding

~ I finally figured out why my hands were hurting so dang much these past months ~

The doc told me I had RSI
and needed to have my hand in a brace and take it easy.

 Easy?
Are you kidding me I don't have time for that.

A year ago I started working out 4-5 times a week using a 10 lbs kettle ball
it's is an amazing workout
but not for my hands

it can get really heavy with the constant swing motion
I feel so stupid- but also so grateful
that I figured out that is the reason for the pain!

There is nothing so depressing when knitting is just so excruciatingly painful

so I guess it's back to running
and more yoga.

Happy Campers!

The sun is shining
 and our hearts are happy
Chef and feel like we can breathe

Finished taping and sheet rocking
so
this weekend we painted the interior of Base Camp Cafe!

Chef wants to frame my paint pants-
thinks they are a work of art
with all the paint I have gotten on them over the years.

We  picked a warm "latte" color

It's an incredible feeling to feel that we are
 on the other side
and accomplishing our dream

Now the fun stuff starts
all the finish work
landscaping
and of course
fine tuning the menu

Weaver gravel did an amazing job
with all their digging and getting the pipes ready to install
and asphalting the parking

here is the finished ADA parking

All I can say is that we have
major happiness infusion
here @ 140!
 Happy Campers

weeeee!

Yarnalong

Cardi c'est fini!

using the"over dyed yarn"

It was a fun little project.
Very simple pattern I made up as I knit along.
using garter stitch and elongated seed stitch/moss stitch.
I kept it simple letting the color shine thru

I think what I am happiest about is the fit and also that I re- dyed yarn that would other wise not be used for maybe socks?

I did use Anns puter buttons
I think they look beautiful against the blues and greens.
The wool is so soft that this will be easy
favorite to wear on colder nights.

No books today
to busy working on Base Camp Cafe
- I dive into bed at night.

What are you knitting?

Joining Ginny today.

Everyday beauty

Spring is when you feel like whistling even with a shoe full of slush.
~Doug Larson

Spring time is a season that I notice all the simple beauty around me.

Waking up from winters slumber I see the world around me with fresh eyes.
The little details that mother nature shares with us everyday that one passes by

now... becomes noticed.

like bright yellow Dandelions

Little water droplets
that sparkle like pearls in the sunlight

Maybe little fairies stop here to take a little refreshing sip?

A time for rain mud, sun and everything in between
I think it's going to snow again today.

Happy 1st of May.

Spring is nature's way of saying, "Let's party!"
