Over dyeing yarn

( I know, bad picture)

This was some yarn
that I had dyed a long while ago.
The colors were off and I never liked how it turned out, even knitting with it.

In the pot it went
applying other darker tones

I over dyed it.

 indigo, teal, charcoal, purple
green blue

Color is a funny thing
amazing how easy and challenging it can be at the same time to get it right.

Good lookin cookin!

  1. it looks very beautiful, its so amazing to me how you can apply more dye till it's just the way you like. can dye be removed? and what are you making? have a lovely sunday!

  2. Hi Lori,
I don't think after dyeing something twice it can be removed completely....thinking another cardi.
    Happy Sunday to you too.

  3. Gorgeous! "indigo, teal, charcoal, purple, green blue" - those are my very favorite colors all in one yarn...

  4. It's lovely Camilla. I do admire your talent!

  5. I admire people who are talented in dyeing! I love seeing the colors that come about in the process. The yarn is beautiful!

May the Warm Winds of Heaven
Blow softly upon your house.
May the Great Spirit
Bless all who enter there.
May your Mocassins
Make happy tracks
in many snows,
and may the Rainbow
Always touch your shoulder.
