This is the beginning of the beginning.
So much left to do- the camp is still a mess, the yard still needs work, bike rack needs to built
constant tweaking of menu
and baked goods
so much fine tuning.
What a journey!
It truly is unbelievable how it all has come together.
This time last year Pierre was a sous chef at a golf course and was on his way to loose his job
because of the seasonal layoffs.
He now has his own business.
We put all our savings into this,
we are up in our eyeballs in bank loans and credit cards.
Working outside in subzero degrees in winter
sleepless nights wondering if we were ever going to pass all the damn inspections
and having to do them over, over, over again.
All the hoops and red tape .
But we did it!
We are part of this community
and we will be for a very long time.
We love this place we love the people that live here
and we wanted to give them a lovely little place
where they can feel like home.
This town is changing
and we want to be part of that.
Thank you each and everyone for all your kind comments and support-
even though we are miles away it has touched our heart to read your words of encouragement
oh yeah, by the way.....
...dreams do really come true.
A very brave thing it is to follow your dream and heart's desire!! Wish I lived closer, looks like my kind of place. Best wishes for lots of success.
