Yarnalong- Sothia Shawl

Just in time for mothers day...whew!

I finished the last stitches at dinner time, mom had no idea.
I used my own hand dyed merino yarn
a Lingonberry red and Pine green
happy the the hand dyed created a little extra depth.

I am reading this...I am sucker for anything Montana and enjoy reading about the past
makes me for one appreciate how blessed I am.

  1. wow, Camilla that shawl is simply divine. I'd be so proud to have something like that, I can't imagine how it feels to have created the yarn too. you clever thing! (and your new blog design looks super btw :-)

  2. Oh Camilla, your shawl is gorgeous! I bet your mom absolutely loved it :)

  3. beautiful shawl!!! and my first thought was what a very cool skirt it would make...different pattern of course, but it would be amazing! your mom is lucky!

  4. Your yarn is just gorgeous and that books sounds like something I would really enjoy as well.

  5. Wow Wow Wow!!
I want to make this! Ok so is it a pattern you did? Ok so do you have this yarn in stock?
Your Mama is one lucky Mama! I know you must have enjoyed your well spent time with her. I love it that you love her so!
I have missed you. Glad to see you back. Funny thing was I was running past the computer to do something important and I took a peek and saw your icon and clicked. Uh Oh. I am in the middle of painting a fence and left my brush on the top of the bucket, so, do gotta go. Can nor wait to see your answers.

  6. I kinda wish I was your mom so I could have a beautiful shawl!!! Lovely and the yarn is stunning :) You out knit yourself!

  13. I LOVE the Sothia Shawl! I've made a full-size version (like yours), a modified full-size shawl, and three partial/mini shawls - I just can't stop making this pattern (I've started making them to give away). I wish you'd used a commercial yarn, instead of your own, because now I can't go out and get the same thing and make one just like yours (I'd have to keep it for myself - it's just too pretty; I'd never want to give it away). Lovely job!

Make happy tracks
in many snows,
and may the Rainbow
Always touch your shoulder.
