Here in NW Montana we are accustomed to 7 months of "winterish" weather- which means little sunlight. I tried to get some more natural light in by not having curtains and painting everything white. Which in turn made my walls grey because it reflected the grey out side and without curtains it made it so cold and austere.....so I threw caution to the wind and painted a warm mocha and a warm mustard yellow- a favorite in Scandinavia. And added some red and white gingham curtains, with new warm color makes the dining room and entry really cozy. ... I am happy and celebrating color!
It is so pretty Camilla! You have a very lovely home and I must say I am totally envious of your stone fireplace!
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful and so inviting. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteLovely colors! Before reading the post I thought "how bright and cheerful". So I think you did achieve your goal :) Love the shoe and bag area :)
ReplyDeleteYour home is gorgeous! Love cubbies.
ReplyDeleteCamilla,
ReplyDeleteLovely! So nice to peek at your life. I enjoy seeing you create including your spaces inside and out. What a treat.Love the mocha and mustard. You already know I love red. Is that strange or what, I did the same thing. The white seems dreary even now. I am in the process of redo. Gotto go buy some yarn, right now. Hope some is left for me. hehe.

ReplyDeleteCamilla,
ReplyDeleteYour home is so beautiful! I love the colors. Both the mocha and mustard yellow are among my very favorite colors. :)
We have very rainy winters here and not much natural light in our house. Anything to add some cheer is wonderful!
