All I need is a moment...

Life has been a whirl wind of events and constant busy-ness. Pierre and I opened the cafe quietly with out too much fanfare on Friday a very soft opening basically pitched the door open. So many lovely compliments on the rustic & comfortable decor and atmosphere .
All I can say is that our coffee is wicked good!

I will post pics thru out the next week.

I feel it is a huuuuuuuge weight off my shoulders as if we have run an 8 month marathon- it took us 4 inspections to get the hood on the stove to pass- we had to set off smoke bombs too see if it would suck it up and the Ansel system would shut it all down in case of fire....who thinks of that??? Really.
I have less than pleasant things to say about the hillbillies that run show in this area...but I guess I will keep my trap shut ....for now.

My father has Alzheimer's and lives in a memory care  a town over from us....in the midst of the opening of Base Camp Cafe I get a phone call to meet him at the ER....he had fallen and hit his head and needed 5 staples....this is opening day-
Are you kidding me????!!!
I am already juggling my kids trying to keep foghorn happy in the midst of the chaos....These days I literally cry having to choose what apples to buy at the market. It is truly all a blur.
All I need is a moment.

Bitter sweet news on the yarn front... I closed Magnolia Handspun
It was time.
My hands were hurting and I just couldn't press on any longer.

Had my www.twisttwine.com redesigned...and it looks so clean and beautiful
getting more yarn ready for fall and thinking about colors and combinations and that makes me so happy...
I am "dyeing" to dye.

...and then there is my bunny in the midst of it all...my saving grace- therapy on 4 legs.

All my crap just melts away when I am with her. Started riding her on a weekly basis. Her mouth is so soft and easy to collect - she is like a little butterball.. I also bought a new saddle here which just of course makes all so dreamy....ehem.

Stephanie has me riding all her horses to get me ready for Fiona - this is Forest a Thoroughbred from San Luis Rey in California, funny thing I used live there...who knew?

...and here is Stephanie and Fiona

it's all amaze balls.

You'll find me and the fam here today
hanging out with our dear friends
packing some tomato sandwiches and Flathead cherries
and spending the day

and I think here
I will find a moment.

Wishing you all a lovely Sunday

Love to all
peace out beansprout.

  10. Camilla, Oh how wonderful that you are now open for business. My best wishes for you and Pierre at the Base Camp.
Sorry to hear about Magnolia Handspun, but I do understand about the injury to your well being when doing something over and over again. It is tough, I know. The same thing happened to me when I did all of the wall board in my house. I still have problems with my arm.
I will miss the yarn though!!!
I have been knitting so much with your beautiful new colorful yarn. It is such a pleasure to see the color. It is slow going, for me. I knit and knit and then have something worth having. My new shawl is wonderful. I ran out of yarn (knew that would happen) so many swatches at first. ha.
    Starting on another.
Hope your Dad is ok and that Foghorn is in good spirits with Mommie going in twenty two directions at once.

    xoxo

  13. I like the first picture of the horse. It looks at you in a funny way. I imagine the horse thinking. What are you looking at?

May the Warm Winds of Heaven
Blow softly upon your house.
May the Great Spirit
Bless all who enter there.
May your Mocassins
Make happy tracks
in many snows,
and may the Rainbow
Always touch your shoulder.
